Hello all,
It’s a cold, hard fact that time stands still for no man and before we know it, Summer will be over and
the Autumnal breeze will be upon us. It’s not all bad though, at least the kids will be back to school! I
don’t ever remember my school holidays being this sodding long!
However, we’re not quite at that point yet. The sun is shining, the Stamfordian sky is blissfully blue
and there’s still a few weeks of summer to enjoy. Plus Mr Smither’s latest addition guarantees to get the
very most out of a long and lazy weekend. I’m all for lazy, when I get chance and these bad boys
deliver on every level of loafing imaginable.
The Cacoon Swing Chair is the newest addition to the Smithers Brand and is already proving a mighty
popular choice. Picture the scene – your beautiful new cacoon swing is suspended from a magnificent
tree, the sun is glistening through the greenery, your swing is bedecked with an array of cushions (also
available at Smithers – forever the salesman people), summer tunes play out in the background, some
minion is stoking up the BBQ for you to feast on later, there’s a cool drink in your hand and all you need
to do is lay back, gently swing and enjoy. Its good isn’t it?!
The Cacoons are available as singles, which make perfect dens for kids or a brilliant bolthole for lone
adults trying seek five minutes of peace! However, if your family resembles something more like that of
the Walton’s, then the cacoon double will hold a whole host of kids or a couple of overenthusiastic adults. The weight limit is 200kg so make sure you bear that in mind. They are also available in a large variety of
colours – fuschia pink, leaf green, natural white, orange mango, taupe and turquoise so whatever your
style or preference, there really is something for everyone.
We’ve had festival goers and campers who really don’t fancy spending the night on the floor purchasing
the Cacoons and have received great feedback on what a comfortable nights sleep they’ve enjoyed
under the stars. Of course, a mighty Oak isn’t always on hand to support your cacoon but modern day
hook ups for stand alone hammocks do an equally good job – just make sure the weight limit is of the
same amount. For any of you outdoor folk planning a cool camping trip, whilst the cacoon’s do not fully
close, they do offer excellent ventilation, and the groundbreaking shape does help to prevent water
coming into the swing whilst the outer fabric is also water repellent.
Of course, for those of us living in Britain, we cannot always rely on the weather and naturally you’d
want to get the most of out of your swing to justify the price, so you’ll be pleased to know that Smithers
cacoons work brilliantly inside the home too. Whether it’s a lounge swing in your living area, a hiding place in the kids playroom or the ultimate lazy chair in your man cave, these swings can accommodate
all your requirements. Needless to say, I’ve got one and it’s as awesome as it sounds. Yes I’m a
converted swinger (of the non-sexual variety) and I’m seriously beginning to wonder how I’ve managed
to exist this long without one.
Until next time my friends,
Mr Smithers.
