Shipping Costs

Within the UK

Small Items: £4 to £15 (e.g., Royal Mail 1st Class starts at £4.00).
Large Furniture: Free (for items up to 80kg, depending on size and weight).

International Shipping

Small Items: £25 to £100.
Large Furniture: £100 to £500 (cost varies significantly based on size, weight, and destination).


Delivery Services

We dispatch small items via Royal Mail (UK) or FedEx/DHL (International). Large furniture orders are handled by Smithers logistics team, which includes white-glove delivery service.


Addresses & Timelines

  • One Address Per Order: Postage costs apply to one delivery address only.
  • Furniture Orders: Delivered in 7–28 working days.
  • Small Items: Delivered in 2–7 working days.

We’ll notify you of any delays or changes to your schedule.


Special Deliveries: Regional Costs

Cornwall, Devon, Scotland, and Ireland deliveries may incur additional postage costs. For furniture orders, delivery includes placement in the room of your choice.

Signature-Free Deliveries

If parcels are left without a signature (e.g., on premises or with a neighbor), it’s at your own risk. Smithers isn’t liable for loss or damage in these cases.

Goods Inspection

  • UK: Check goods within 48 hours and report damages promptly.
  • International (USA/EU): Inspect goods upon arrival and report any issues within 72 hours.
    Failure to report within these timeframes invalidates claims.

    • If you cancel your order within 24 hours of placing it, we will issue a full refund, no questions asked.
    • Refunds are processed within 3–4 working days from the date of your cancellation request.
  2. Cancellation After 24 Hours:

    • If more than 24 hours have passed, your item may already be in the processing stage. In this case, cancellation is not possible, and you will need to wait for the delivery. Once the item arrives, you can initiate a return (see "Refunds After Delivery" below).
  3. Stopping Delivery (If Not Yet Collected by Courier):

    • If the courier has not yet collected your item, we may be able to stop the delivery and issue a refund within 3–4 working days. Contact us immediately to check the status of your shipment.

Refunds After Delivery (UK Only)

To qualify for a refund after receiving your item, please adhere to the following steps:

  1. Return Request Timeline:

    • Customers must contact us within 28 days of receiving their order to initiate a return.
    • Requests made after the 28-day period will not be eligible for a refund.
  2. Condition of Returned Items:

    • Items must be returned in their original packaging and in unused, perfect condition to be eligible for a refund.
    • Any item that is not in re-sellable condition or lacks the original box will not qualify for a refund.
  3. Postage and Return Deadline:

    • Returns must be sent back within 30 days of the delivery date.
    • Customers are responsible for the cost of return postage.

  • Original Packaging:

    • All items must be returned in their original box. Refunds cannot be processed without this packaging.
  • Timeframe for Processing Refunds:

    • Refunds are processed within 3–5 working days by our accounts team.
    • Once processed, it may take 5–7 additional working days for the funds to appear in your account, depending on your payment provider.

  1. Refused Deliveries:

    • If you refuse delivery after two attempts, the package will be returned to us by DHL or FedEx.
