Meet Mort Ality - the life size bronze anatomical skeleton. He's very excited about Halloween and is hoping to join you for the long awaited annual celebrations.

You really should acquaint, yourself with our friend Mort - he's an absolutely delightful chap, the very dearest sort. Now some will be a little scared, of Mort's very slender frame. The fleshy corpse has all but gone, and this is what remains.

The life has disappeared, stripped down to the bone. Bronzed man raised from the earth, and brought into your home. What is it we fear? A dark and bleak abyss? Beating light to nothing - there's got to be more than this. Do not be afraid - Life is not the end. Mort is here to forever prove, Death can be your friend.

SMITHERS DELIVERY INFORMATION.

Shipping costs can vary based on item size, weight, and destination. Here's a general overview:

Within the UK:

  • Small Items: Typically range from £5 to £15. For instance, Royal Mail's 1st Class parcel service starts at £5.00.
  • Larger Furniture Costs between £15 and £45, depending on dimensions and weight. Service  options for items up to 80kg.

International Shipping:

  • Small Items: Generally range from £25 to £100. 
  • Large Furniture: Costs can vary significantly, typically between £100 and £500, influenced by size, weight, and destination.

What Delivery Service do we use?

We send small products with Royal Mail and Internationally with Fedex or DHL. Large furniture are sent with higher jump logistics.

One Address only per order:

All order postage is charged per one address.

Delivery Eta:

Once your order is received, we’ll keep you informed every step of the way.

  • You will receive an email from us on the same day of your order.
  • Delivery Times:

    • Furniture Orders: Typically delivered within 7–28 working days.
    • Smaller Items: Delivered within 2–7 working days.

While we strive to meet these timelines, occasional delays may occur. If there’s any change to your delivery schedule, we’ll notify you immediately to keep you updated.

Cornwall and Devon Deliveries:

Cornwall and Devon and Scotland, Ireland are subject to additional cost of postage as they are out of our delivery zone. Furniture deliveries are delivered to any room of your choice. 

NOT IN STOCK ITEMS:

'If an item is not in stock then we will let you know when it will be back in stock so that you have the opportunity to choose between cancelling your order or waiting for it.

Leaving without a signature?

Customers wanting parcels left next door or left on premises without signing for is at your own risk, and we won't be held responsible for loss or damage.

Check furniture size:

Please check the size of our furniture first before you make the order with us to make sure it does fit through your door, if items do not fit we are not liable to reimburse the delivery cost; the customer will be responsible for the outward journey and return postage fee, this will be deducted from the sale.

CHECK GOODS AFTER DELIVERY:

Please check the goods within 48 hours for damage. All parcels are also fully insured. Please report damage within 48 hours from the signature date, after this time or the claim will not stand and we will not be liable.

USA AND EU CHECK GOODS:

Please check the goods on arrival for damage. All parcels are also fully insured, Please report damage within 72 hours from signature day and time, or the claim will not stand and we will not be liable.

Important Notice for International Orders:

Please be aware that import taxes and duties may apply to your order, as determined by your country's customs regulations. These charges, typically around 10-20%, will be added upon the product's arrival in your country.

  • If you choose not to accept the Cash on Delivery (COD) taxes or additional shipping costs, we will not issue a refund for your order.

  • It is your responsibility to understand and account for these charges before placing an international order.

Shipping Damages Policy:

At Smithers, we take every measure to ensure your items arrive in perfect condition, but we understand that sometimes damages may occur during transit. If this happens, please accept our sincere apologies for the inconvenience.

Reporting Damages:

  • UK Deliveries:
  • Report damages within 48 hours of delivery.
  • International Deliveries:
  • Report damages within 72 hours of delivery.

If reports are made beyond these timeframes, we regret that we cannot accept liability for the damage.

How to Report:

  2. Include your order number and clear photos of the damage.
  3. Specify whether the package was delivered by DHL, Royal Mail, or through our white glove service for large furniture.

28 Day Refunds:

We hope you are happy with your product, but we understand that sometimes you might change your mind. Returns are not a problem at Smithers, as long as you follow our terms.

REFUNDS BEFORE DELIVERY 'UK ONLY:

If you wish to cancel your order once it's been placed and require a refund, this is ok up to 24 hrs after ordering with us. After this time has passed your item will be processing, so you will have to wait until you have the item to send back to us, then we will process your refund on return. If your item has not yet been collected from our courier we may be able to stop the delivery and will process the refund within 3-4 working days.

REFUNDS AFTER DELIVERY 'UK ONLY:

In order to receive a refund once you have received your item, the customer must contact us  within '28 DAYS' of receiving their order. Any email return request, after the period of 28 days this will be declined.

POSTAGE REFUND:

Returns must then be sent back to us within 30 days from delivery day. The product must be sent back in its [original box] and in a re-sellable condition - exactly as it arrived with you and unused in perfect condition. If you don't have the original box, then we cannot process a refund.

PLEASE NOTE: 

 As previously stated, all items must be sent back with the original box or a refund cannot be issued. 

HOW LONG DOES A REFUND TAKE:

Refunds take 3- 5 days to process with our accounts team and the original payment method will take 5-7 days to reverse back to your original payment method..

Important Notice for International Deliveries:

If the international recipient (you) refuses delivery of the shipment after two delivery attempts to your address, the parcel will be returned to us by DHL or FedEx.

In such cases:

  • Smithers of Stamford is not liable for the goods or the return shipping costs.
  • We are not responsible for unaccepted deliveries and will not issue a refund if you fail to accept your delivery.
